Abstract

Attempts to extract the oncolytic principle contained in Clostridium M55 spores have shown that disintegration in the Ribi apparatus will on occasion provide some active material whereas shaking in the Mickle machine will not. In addition, it was found that limited germination of the spore crop in a cellophane tube culture will allow diffusion of the active principle into the fluid portion of the culture.
