Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of clinical nursing pathway in peri-operation nursing for patients with common bile duct stones undergoing endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) . Methods A total of 80 patients with common bile duct stones admitted from April 2016 to April 2017 were randomly divided into control group (n=40) and observation group (n=40) in Endoscopy Center of Neijiang First People's Hospital. Patients in the control group were given routine nursing while patients in the observation group were treated with clinical nursing pathway care during peri-operation period. Clinical indexes, medical expense, clinical events, psychological emotion, pain, comfort, postoperative complications and nursing satisfaction of two groups were compared. Results For the observation group, incision healing time was (6.31±0.86) d; initial off bed time was (2.09±0.67) d; hospital stays was (7.91±0.90) d; and medical expense was (3 526.15±875.26) yuan which were shorter and lower than those of the control group (t=8.280, 9.307, 7.334, 6.963; P<0.01) . Incidence rate of complication of the observation after operation was lower than that of the control group (12.5% vs. 40.0%, χ2=7.813, P<0.01) . There were more people who were satisfied with nursing of observation group than that of control group (17 vs. 8, Z=-2.889, P<0.01) . Conclusions The clinical nursing pathway has significant clinical effect in treatment of patients with common bile duct stones undergoing ERCP, which can improve the recovery efficiency, patients' comfort, reduce complication incidence rate, and enhance the nursing satisfaction as well.
