Abstract

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a devastating injury that results in long-term cognitive dysfunction. No effective pharmacotherapy has been identified to enhance clinical recovery. In animal studies and small clinical trials in humans, citicoline has been identified to aid in neurologic recovery, and has been approved for TBI therapy in 59 countries.
