Abstract
Abstract The effect of sea nettle ( Chrysaora quinquecirrha ) nematocyst toxin on rat nerve and muscle was studied. The toxin was found to decrease the action potential of peripheral nerve and skeletal muscle. The contractility of rat ileum was also diminished by the nematocyst toxin.
