Abstract

The present paper deals with the study of the effect of potassium fertilizer (Potassium sulphate) on rhizosphere mycoflora ofOryza sativa. The fertilization improves the microbial activity both in rhizosphere and nonrhizosphere regions. 40 lbs/acre dose of the fertilizer proved best for paddy growth and rhizosphere fungal poulation. The highest fungal population was recorded at the time of flowering of the plants.
