Abstract

Built-up member constituted by lipped channel sections is often used in cold-formed steel building. But, it has not been clarified yet whether the connection interval of chord members affects the buckling behavior of built-up member. In addition, there are not enough considerations on the end boundary conditions where stress is transmitted only to the web. This study clarifies the influence of the boundary condition and spacing of connection on the local and flexural buckling of builtup cold-formed steel members under bending.
