Abstract
The effect of added diblock copolymer on the morphologies of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO)/polystyrene (PS) blends cast from cyclohexanone in an electric field is studied. It is shown that elongated PEO phases can form in this system at low applied fields with added diblock copolymer and it is suggested that these are stabilized as a result of a lowering of the interfacial tension between PEO and PS.
