Abstract
The excellence of Beauveria bassiana used are could be applied to control agriculture pest insect and insect as vector of diseases in human being. Anopheles maculatus is one of malaria vector that most found in agriculture area. Effect of B. bassiana on An. maculatus aquatik phase not been known. This research aim to analyzing effect of B. bassiana to An. maculatus aquatic phase in labory. Sample in the form of egg and An. maculatus larvae reared from Banjarnegara colony. Anopheles maculatus eggs and larvae instar II,III and IV and control each of that as much 10 larvae/egg with 6 replicate contacted to B. bassiana spora as long 15 minutes and hereinafter reared to be seen in every 24 hours as long 192 hours. The number of larvae that had been dead noted, and also the number of egg that do not hatch. Data was collected, entry, edited and cleaned for analysis. Death in each aquatic phase from dose that had been use in probit analysis to calculating LD 50, and LT 50 from dosages that most effective. Aplication of B. bassiana to An. maculatus egg caused the damage in external coat of egg and earn to pursuing >60% egg not hatch. Aplication of B bassiana in various dose at instar II,III larvae and showed at first 24 hours spora have patched at lateral hair, after 48 hours some of larvae spora to be found in larvae body mainly in thorax and abdomen. Death larvae showed body damage and the neck getting longer. Larva that grow becoming pupae or mosquitoes would be death with hifa of Beauveria cover their bodies. Lethal dosage that needed to kill 50% larvae had been tested (instar II,III or IV) in dosage spora as much 1,713x10 ⁷ . Lethal dosage that need to caused 50% egg do not hatch is concentration spora in 1,361x10 ⁷ . Time that had been need to kill 50% larvae test at dosage 1x10 ⁷ is 11,69 days. Time that had been need to caused 50% egg do not hatch at spora dosage 1x10 ⁷ is 384,204 hours or equivalent with 16 days. Beauveria bassiana had potency as control of An. maculatus in aquatic phase.
