Abstract
The effect of antrectomy on acid secretion was studied in Pavlov-pouch dogs from which the duodenal inhibitory mechanism was excluded prior to antrectomy. The secretion was stimulated with graded doses of histamine, gastrin, and a combination of graded doses of histamine and gastrin plus a fixed dose of Urecholine.
