Abstract

Reduction of plasma renin activity has been observed in rats following administration of pitressin. Male rats with hereditary diabetes insipidus (Brattlboro strain) have elevated plasma renin activity compared to control rats of the same strain. No significant difference in plasma renin activity was observed between female rats with diabetes insipidus and control females of the same strain.
