Abstract
Maximum selectivity for propene metathesis at 673 K over unsupported non-stoichiometric samples of Na x WO 3 and K xWO 3 (0<x<0.8) was found at compositions corresponding to the semiconductor-metal transition. Their catalytic activity can therefore be controlled by defining their composition and degree of alkali metal intercalation.
