Abstract

Atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) has been applied in various fields such as environmental and biological fields. In this work, the effect of alcohol addition on APPJ was studied. The plasma heat flux onto aluminum was investigated for atmospheric pressure plasma jet with pure argon or argon-ethanol mixture. The electrical characterization of plasma jet and the Lissajous figures, which are used to measure the power consumption, are both determined by high voltage probe. Furthermore, optical emission for using pure argon plasma is compared to that for argon-ethanol mixture plasma.
