Abstract

1. The nonuniform variation of concrete strength with age decreases with more rapid hardening of concrete of lower strength. 2. With a known regression relation between the strengths at different ages, it is possible, from a selection for the carliest age, to calculate the strength distribution parameters at any subsequent age. 3. For a small variability of the initial strength (in the writers' tests, for V0<10%), use should be made of the mean value of the coefficient of transfer from the initial strength to the strength at a later age. In this case the coefficient of variation with age does not change and remains equal to the initial coefficient.
