Abstract

The paper presents the experimental results on the influence of Ag nanoparticles on the small-signal gain and saturation energy density of an oscillator-amplifier dye laser transversely pumped by a second harmonic Nd: YAG laser. Our measurements indicated that the measured g0 and Es parameters depend on concentration of Ag in Rhodamine 6 G solution. We have observed that the valves of amplifying parameters (g0, Es) can be controlled by adding various amounts of silver nanoparticles to the solution of Rhodamine 6 G dye in a dye laser.
