Abstract

A number of formulations were developed with urethane acrylate oligomer in combination with monofunctional and difunctional acrylate monomers in the presence of various fillers, plasticizers and antibubbling agents. Thin films prepared with these formulated solutions under UV radiation were characterized. The effect of different co-additives incorporated into these formulations was investigated. Hessian cloth was coated with these formulated solutions and cured with UV radiation. This treatment improved the rheological properties of the hessian cloth. Incorporation of certain amide additives and inorganic salts improved further the tensile properties of the hessian cloth with enhanced water absorption resistivity.
