Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of precise operational skill of Kasai surgery in biliary atresia children, and analyze the related factors affecting the prognosis of children. Methods The clinical data of 85 infants who underwent Kasai surgery were retrospectively analyzed. The relationship between postoperative conditions, follow-up, age of surgery, cholangitis and the clearance rate of jaundice were analyzed. Results Among the 85 cases, 82 cases discharged of bile like feces at early time after the operation. The early postoperative bile excretion rate was 96.4%, the regular clinic follow-up time was 6 months, the recent jaundice subsided rate was 47.1% and the recovery rate of liver function was 41.2%. The short-term jaundice clearance rate was high in children aged 60-90 d, and the rate of jaundice was higher in children without cholangitis than in children with cholangitis. Conclusions The accurate operation of Kasai surgery can improve the rate of postoperative jaundice in children with biliary atresia, and the operation days and cholangitis can affect the prognosis of the children.
