Abstract

The use of feed additive as probiotic, enzymes or organic acids is not so widespread in fish feeding. The early researches (Ellis, 1968) showed positive results using acidified diets. However the results were not confirmed by other authors (Rungruangsak and Utne, 1981; Austreng and Asgard 1986). All the experiment cited were performed using organic acids as formic or propionic acid.
