Abstract

The effect of the ratio 2kF/Kp on the TCR and the electron density of states has been studied through measurements of the temperature dependence of resistivity and the low temperature specific heat, using the Hume-Rothery type simple metallic glasses Ag-Cu-Mg. The TCR changes its sign at 2kF/Kp = 1.0, in accord with the Ziman theory. However, the density of states at the Fermi level does not indicate a noticeable anomaly associated with 2kF = Kp condition.
