Abstract
Many simulations carried out on the first wall of ITER. Using SRIM program, the mean distance of 14.7 MeV protons produced from the fusion reaction in ITER which propagated parallel and perpendicular to the beryllium micro brush / copper first wall was calculated. Also, the backscattered ions and vacancies produced per incident proton was calculated. In this study, two simulations were used to show the effect of different numbers of protons incident at normal angle on this target and the other effect was the different incident angles of definite protons number. It was clear that by increasing the number of incident protons, all parameters were not changed except the number of backscattered ions. It was found that with increased the incident protons angle, the lateral projected range increased and reached 1.46 mm at 89° angle. Also, it was found that with increased the incident protons angle, the longitudinal range decreased and both the number of backscattered ions and vacancies have different change.
