Abstract

Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of 131I in the treatment of differentiated thyroid carcinoma with pulmonary metastasis and the related factors. Methods 82 patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma with pulmonary metastasis treated in the First Hospital of Yulin, Peking Union Medical College Hospital and West China Hospital of Sichuan University from January 2005 to January 2015 were selected as the research objects. After the operation of thyroid cancer, 131I was used to treat the patients with thyroid cancer. The short-term effect was observed after treatment for three months, and the related factors were analyzed. Results Along with the increase of the numbers of treatment, the remission rate of the patients was gradually decreased. The effect of 131I on the treatment of female patients was significantly higher than that of male patients.Further analysis showed that the level of thyroglobulin in the no remission group was significantly higher than that in the remission group (t=8.462, P<0.05). The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the effect of 131I on the treatment of patients was significantly negative correlated with thyroglobulin level before treatment (P<0.05). Conclusions 131I has a very significant effect on the patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma with pulmonary metastasis, and the serum level of thyroglobulin before treatment and sex are the related factors that influence the treatment effect. Key words: 131I; Differentiated thyroid carcinoma; Lung metastasis; Curative effect; Related factors
