Abstract
Considering the low fluidity and the difficulties in separating high Ti-bearing blast furnace slag from hot metal, the effect of B2 O3 on apparent viscosity under argon atmosphere was studied from 1340 °C to 1475 °C using Brookfield Rotational Viscometer, Metallographic Microscope, et al. The results showed that the addition of B2 O3 could decrease melting temperature of high Ti-bearing blast furnace slag and increased its fluidity. With increasing the amount of B2 O3 from 0 to 3%, mass fraction of perovskite in high Ti-bearing blast furnace slag gradually decreased, but four times the mass fraction of anosovite. The Ti(C,N) appeared enrichment in the high Ti-bearing blast furnace slag, and the enrichment changed with the addition of B2 O3 increasing.
