Abstract

Objective To investigate the mindfulness-based cognition and group support on relieving the work stress and job burnout of tumor ward nurses. Methods A total of 66 tumor ward nurses of this hospital were selected as the study objects. Random number table was used to divide into mindfulness cognition group (33 nurses) and group support group (33 nurses). Mindfulness cognition intervention was given to mindfulness cognition group and group support intervention was given to group support group to compare the work stress and job burnout of tumor ward nurses before and after 8 weeks for two groups. Results For the entry scores and the aggregate score comparison of the work stress and job burnout of two groups of nurses, and the difference had statistical significance(P 0.05). After intervention, for the other entry scores, aggregate score and job burnout scoring scale in mindfulness cognition group, other four entry score and aggregate score were significantly lower than group support group except coping strategy, but the entry score of job burnout scoring scale was significantly higher than group control group except coping strategy, and the difference had no statistical significance(P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with group support intervention, the effect of mindfulness cognition intervention is better on relieving the work stress and job burnout of tumor ward nurses, which is worth conducting promotion and application.
