Abstract

The Effectivness of Mediation Role in Tackling Divorce Rate in the Religious Court. This article is aimed at looking at the effectiveness of the role of mediation in the Religious Court in tackling divorce rate in Indonesia. It is motivated by the phenomenon of increasingly high divorce rate in the Religious Court, while the mediation efforts in order to minimize the increasing divorce rate seems to work alone; it does not seem to be real. Hence, many factors that influence the lack of successfully mediation rate in the Religious Courts needs be investigated. Seeing the study undertaken, It was found that the practice of mediation in the religious Court was not effective due to eight influences that center lay on both the Religious Court and those who want to divorce.
