Abstract

Digital-based archive storage is a storage system as well as archive management using digital media. In its application, this storage, in addition to requiring electronic media or tools, also requires competent and technologically literate human resources. If digital archive storage is not managed by competent human resources in their fields, then it is not impossible that the security of the data will also be threatened. This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness of digital-based archive storage in Islamic Junior High School 1 Cirebon City. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. This study uses several stages, namely: Data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of his research are: (1) Islamic Junior High School 1 Cirebon City has implemented digital-based archive storage since the Covid-19 pandemic a few years ago. (2) In its management, digital archive storage uses several websites or applications such as EMIS (Education Management System), SIMPATIKA (Information System for Educators and Education Personnel), SAKTI (Institution Level Financial Application System), and RDM (Madrasah Digital Report Card). (3) In terms of security, the level of security there is still relative even though it is indeed more helped by using this digital-based storage. (4) There are advantages and disadvantages in implementing a digital-based storage system. Based on the results of this study, it could be concluded that the effectiveness of digital-based archive storage there is quite good in improving data security, but there needs to be an improvement in the management system, especially for operators who manage
