Abstract

This study aims to discover how the motivation and learning outcomes of students whose learning using media-based presentation of interactive multimedia (MMI) and that use conventional methods and to find a significant difference between motivation and learning outcomes of students who instructional pemebalajarannya using the MMI and conventional methods in SMP on the eyes eighth grade social studies material social deviation. The method used Experiment Quasy. The population in this study is a junior high school students Tarbiyatul Aulad Cikajang academic year 2015/2016, and the sample is a class VIII which involves 60 students as research subjects. Data obtained through the learning motivation questionnaire, while learning outcomes are collected through achievement test. The results showed that: (1) Motivation and increased student learning outcomes using presents media-based interactive multimedia in social studies in junior high school on the subject matter of social deviation. (2) There are significant differences between the groups of students who use interactively with the group of students who use conventional media in social studies in a junior high school in the material, social deviation. By looking at the results of this study, it was concluded that learning by using interactive multimedia presentation media can have a positive impact on learning outcomes IPS in junior high school (SMP).
