Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of LCD media in motivating learners. The research data collection technique uses several techniques, namely observation, questionnaire and interview. The data presentation step (1) data reduction, summarizes the data obtained so as to provide a clearer picture, (2) Presentation of data, the researcher displays data in the form of narrative text supported by the results of questionnaires that have been tested in the field, (3) Verification, withdrawal conclusions and verification with the aim of being able to answer the problem statement. The results of the study, each student has the desire to actively study, but many factors affect students so that it makes them lazy to learn, this is the task of the teaching staff and parents to be able to motivate. The supporting factors and obstacles to the use of LCD projectors are as follows (1) supporting factors: educators who have expertise from the implementation of training, awareness of masters towards Education, conducive and clean learning places, complete facilities and infrastructure. (2) inhibiting factors: there are still educators who have not been able to operate the technology so that they cannot use LCD media, even though there is a lack of training for teaching staff related to the presentation of interesting material, it is still difficult for educators to use new methods. Conclusion, the use of LCD media can motivate students in learning
