Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the reproductive efficiency response of pelibuey to chorionic gonadotropin hormone (eCG). 144 females (81 multiparous and 63 primals) were used, randomly assigned to 12 pens with three treatments (0.8, 1 and 1.2 mL) of eCG through two synchronization protocols. Pregnancy rate and fertility percentage were registered 25 days after mating using rectal ultrasonography. The information was analyzed through a factorial arrangement of treatments (hormone dose and synchronization protocols) in a General Linear Model with random design. For multiparous females, at 12 days of synchronization the greatest response was identified when using 1.0 mL of eCG and at 14 days when using 0.8 mL of eCG. For primiparous females, at 12 days the best result was using 1.2 mL of eCG and at 14 days using 1.2 mL of eCG.
