Efectividad de un programa educativo en el conocimiento materno sobre el neurodesarrollo del neonato prematuro

Abstract

The study was carried out at the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital, Trujillo, during the months of january-february 2020, with the aim of establishing the effectiveness of an educational program "In the arms of mom", in the maternal knowledge about the neurodevelopment of the premature neonate. Had sample universe made up of 20 mothers who met the inclusion criteria. The following questionnaire was used to determine the level of maternal knowledge about the neurodevelopment of the premature neonate developed. The results are presented in simple and double-entry tables. To determine the relationship between variables, the statistical test “student t” was used. The results: Before the application of the program, 10% of mothers obtained a good level of knowledge, 50% of mothers, regular and 40% a poor level; after the application of the program, 80% reached a high level of knowledge and 20% a regular level, which indicates that the educational program was highly significant (p = 0.000).
