Abstract

Clostridiodes difficile infection (CDI) is the most common healthcare-associated infection in the US. Resource use and costs to manage CDI are not fully appreciated by healthcare professionals and payers across the range of US healthcare entities, including Medicare, commercial managed care organizations, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. A systematic review of the real-world evidence of CDI cost and healthcare resource use in the US was conducted.
