Abstract

Nearly half of patients with chronic heart failure (HF) report insomnia symptoms, and cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) has been shown to be efficacious for treating insomnia in the presence of comorbid conditions. This study examined the impact of CBT-I vs HF self-management on health care costs and resource utilization among patients with stable chronic heart failure.
