Abstract

Technological developments have had an impact on the emergence of technology-based financial institutions or Financial Technology, namely Peer to Peer Lending. The existence of Peer to Peer Lending not only has a positive impact on the ease of obtaining loans but also has a negative impact, namely the emergence of extortion in the community in the form of high interest rates, the spread of data and psychological pressure. Due to this condition, it is necessary to carry out community service through providing education using social media Instagram with the aim of providing understanding to the public regarding Peer to Peer Lending, how to protect themselves, how to report fraud and how to avoid Peer to Peer Lending. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach. The results of the study: evaluation of education carried out can provide an understanding of Peer to Peer Lending from legal and social aspects. This education also opens up people's insight into how to avoid digital loan. Conclusion: education through social media is very effective because of the complete features on social media.
