Abstract

Diarrhea is still a public health problem in developing countries such as Indonesia, because of its high morbidity and mortality. Based on data from Puskesmas Dander, Bojonegoro it is known that the incidence of diarrheal disease has increased sharply in Desa Dander. This activity aims to increase the knowledge of elementary school children about PHBS to prevent diarrhea. The core activities are education about PHBS and diarrhea as well as hand-washing training. The target of the activity was elementary school children at SDN Dander III and SDN Dander IV, Kecamatan Dander, Kabupaten Bojonegoro, with the number of participants 72 children. The educational method using a combination of providing material with a Power Point presentation, videos, and hands-on practice. There was an increase in the average score between pre-test and post-test, from 45.69 to 61.25. The percentage of students with low and moderate levels of knowledge from the pre-test results decreased when compared to the post-test results, while students with high knowledge levels increased in the post-test. In addition, the number of student attendance exceeds the expected target.
