Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on children. This is a big concern for parents. Prevention of Covid-19 in children needs to be done so that the condition of the child remains healthy. Research conducted by Ariyanti (2020) in Gadungan Village Tabanan Bali shows that most households have implemented Covid-19 prevention behaviors well. However, it is still lacking in the implementation of regular disinfectants and regular sports activities. Better education is needed for families to increase activities to prevent transmission of Covid-19 in the household environment, especially in children.
The activity carried out was education on preventing Covid-19 in children in the household environment using leaflet media from the Ministry of Health. The targets are foster parents at the Hati Mama Jimbaran Foundation in Bali. This is followed by a health check on each family member and the provision of masks, multivitamins, hand soap and hand sanitizer. After the Covid-19 prevention education was carried out in the household environment, parents and foster children at the orphanage were committed to maintaining health protocols by: washing hands using soap and running water, using masks and hand sanitizers, maintaining distance and staying away from crowds, do physical activity regularly and eat nutritious food and take multivitamins.
