Abstract

The implementation of the service focuses on educating children about tsunami disaster preparedness in the coastal area of Tomini Bay as the first step for disaster risk reduction. This is done based on efforts to reduce disaster risk for children, where children are a group that is vulnerable to a disaster. The implementation of the education service for tsunami preparedness for children using interactive media showed positive results. Children know more about the concepts and causes, signs of a tsunami disaster, and actions to deal with the disaster. In addition, children are willing to share information with friends and family about the concept of a tsunami disaster and the attitude of preparedness in dealing with it.
