Abstract

This study raises the issue of analyzing educational values contained in the anthology of Veteran short stories. The aim is to see and describe the educational values contained in the anthology of the short story. The implications of this research are to know and understand the value of education contained in this collection of short stories so that it can be a good learning for writers both for readers and lovers of short stories. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative. The research data is in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and paragraphs relating to educational values. Data were collected by documentation techniques and analyzed by (1) describing data, (2) classifying data according to content analysis, (3) analyzing data based on found classifications, (4) interpreting data that has been analyzed, and (5) drawing conclusions and write a research report. The results of this study conclude that the educational values contained in the collection of short stories are (1) the value of religious education, (2) the value of moral education, (3) the value of social education, and (4) the value of cultural education.
