Abstract

The variability and dynamism of the processes occurring in all spheres of human activity has a significant impact on the solution of the tasks facing the teaching staff of modern educational organizations. Due to the growth of deviations in the behavior of minors, the complex of tasks to be solved includes such an issue as the prevention of deviant behavior of adolescents. Education system plays a special role in solving the issue of elimination and prevention of deviations in the behavior of minors. From the standpoint of upbringing, training and socialization of the individual, it is the educational environment that, being specially created, acts as an important condition for the formation of a student's personality, determines his/her activity on the interiorization of living space, influences the development of value orientations, and activates his/her motivational attitudes in the process of socialization. Thus, the idea of prevention of deviant behavior in students is a priori included in the semantic field of the education system, and, therefore, the prevention of deviations is an important function of educational organizations. The use of resources of educational environment in the prevention of deviant behavior implies early identification of adolescents prone to deviant behavior, determination of the causes and factors of deviant behavior, and the introduction of preventive measures into the educational process at the initial stages. This article presents a study aimed at identifying adolescents prone to deviant behavior and proposes teaching adolescents the skills of social competence and including minors in extracurricular activities.
