Abstract

This paper describes our hardware prototyping and verification system for teaching digital circuits. The system is composed of FPGA modules and a general hardware verification interface which supports utilizing any combination of different FPGA devices within the same design flow. For the most demanding designs, additional boards can be connected to create an FPGA-DSP system or even a multi-FPGA custom computing engine. We describe some typical applications and student projects implemented on the presented programmable prototyping system.
