Abstract

Abstract Educational audiologists bring a unique perspective to educational planning, rehabilitation and support of students with hearing impairments. This article is written to inform the readers of the recent publication of the Educational Audiology Association, Recommended Professional Practices for Educational Audiology, and discuss real life situations that occur within the practice of an audiologist working in a school setting. The goal of this article is to heighten the awareness of educational audiology and the vital role the educational audiologist plays as part of a team of professionals working together so that students with hearing loss can reach their potentials.
