Abstract
Education is what makes man. Social changes take place only through education. Education is the most important factor in the development of an improved society. In ancient Tamil Nadu, there have been changes in the teaching system of education, accountant's school, sangam period, Vedic education, Christian priests, Macaulay education system, today's education system, computer education, education technology, modern teaching methods, media role in teaching, television, internet, postal education, open universities and distance education, the role of the government. This article deals with the changes in learning in teaching from ancient times to this period.
