The article is an attempt at comparing and evaluating the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) courseand the Qualified First Aid (QFA) course in terms of their usefulness in the daily service of Polish policeofficers. The research using the diagnostic survey technique was conducted in late 2022 and early 2023based on a survey questionnaire introduced in Google Forms. The research was carried out amongthe personnel of emergency medical teams performing medical rescue activities throughout Poland. As part of the preparation of the research design, it was assumed that a group of these respondentshave the necessary medical qualifications to assess the rescue activities of others. In addition, as partof their profession, the respondents often witness the actions of police officers providing first aid at thescene. The study compiled research material that allowed verifying the research hypothesis adoptedin the deliberations. Nonetheless, the authors are aware of the limitations of the adopted researchmethodology. The final part of the article presents conclusions and recommendations on the directionof proposed changes in police education in the field of qualified first aid.
