Abstract

Abstract Teachers can contribute to the control of venereal diseases by giving young people adequate instruction about the dangers of these diseases. In Ohio, teachers and school systems have received assistance in this task through a special venereal disease educational project conducted by the State Department of Health. Inservice education for teachers, free pamphlets, and educational movies have been introduced successfully in grades 7 through 12, in many different subject areas. Contrary to popular belief, most parents will support this type of education about venereal disease when properly introduced to it.
