Abstract

The BA (Honours) Information and Library Management course taught in the department was due for review. It was apparent from student feedback that they felt unsure of applying for appropriate work in health information. National Health Services information professionals indicated that while graduates had a good general grounding within information organisation, access and retrieval more subject specific knowledge would be advantageous for students taking up their first professional post.
