Abstract

NEARLY THIRTY YEARS after teaching nursing in Zambia 1 was privileged to return there for nine weeks in 2002. May June and July are winter months in this country of South Central Africa so the weather was pleasant even a bit cool. Sikalongo Bible Institute invited me to reach Christian ethics to pastors. While in Zambia we conducted five seminars on Christian ethics for pastors and church leaders at different locations in the country. One topic The Church: Compassion Ministry and Social Disease sparked the most interest. Every family in Zambia has been touched by AIDS - along with the resultant declining health of spouses children and parents. (excerpt)
