Abstract

The importance of developing social skills in educational institutions engaged in innovative activities lies in the fact that a person is the main intellectual resource that provides value to the products created, thus becoming the basis of development and innovation. This article presents the results of a descriptive study, obtained by applying the quasi-experimental methodology, as a form of intervention on ULIM students, in orderto develop social skills within professional trainings. The obtained results show the development path of social skills in 25 students from year 1 to the end of year 3 of study. The results from the test-retest showed an increase in the averages for the competence of self-expression in communication, a harmonization of the assessment of one’s own social skills, harmonized the students’ capacity for objective assessment, overestimations being removed, but also through the development of social skills, the level of adaptability and subjective assessment of the quality of life increased.
