EDSS trajectories in multiple sclerosis patients from the Italian MS register

Abstract

*On behalf of the Italian MS Register. The occurrence of the first symptoms after age 50 for Multiple Sclerosis patients (Late Onset MS) is relatively infrequent and it occurs in less than 10% of patients; information about LOMS clinical and severity outcomes is still uncertain. The main aim of this study was to describe EDSS trajectory and evaluate if LOMS and other characteristics were associated with the different EDSS trends.
