Abstract

An intensive architectural structure is seen in Edirne, which was once the capital city of the Ottoman Empire. One of these architectural structures is the cemeteries. Cemeteries were built in different parts of the city and, over time, it has been observed that these historical structures went to ruin. Some of these damages had occurred as a result of natural hazards and some of them by human hands hunting treasure. In this study, studies conducted on the preservation of grave stones to prevent the increase of damage are examined.
