Abstract

For the second issue of 2017 we have a short set of three articles. First Swati Agarwal and coauthors analyze bibliographic data to give insight on the different ethnic groups and publishing rates in computer science, in an article titled "Minority Ethnic groups in Computer Science Research." Then in "The Costs and Benefits of Treating the Browser Like an Operating System," Chris Kanich discusses research in the use of ad blockers that give us insight into the use of different browser features. Finally, we have a very timely article from Nancy McGovern from the MIT Libraries entitled "Data Rescue" that updates our community on what is happening in many national archives to preserve data.
