Miller is professor of education and coordinator of the Student Personnel in Higher Education Program in the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services at the University of Georgia, Athens. He has been actively involved in the development and applications of professional standards during the past decade. He chaired the American College Personnel Association Task Force that drafted the first student affairs preparation standards in 1979.
