The advisory editors proposed a special issue of HOPOS with a slate of papers from that workshop and, in cooperation with the journal, issued a public call for papers. All papers were anonymously peer reviewed. Three additional papers from the Vienna workshop have been published in HOPOS, and those who are interested should consult those papers as well, as part of the overall project:• Gary Hatfield, “Wundt and ‘Higher Cognition’: Elements, Association, Apperception, and Experiment,” HOPOS 10, no. 1 (2020): 48–75.• Katherina Kinzel, “Inner Experience and Articulation: Wilhelm Dilthey’s Foundational Project and the Charge of Psychologism,” HOPOS 8, no. 2 (2018): 347–75.• Martin Kusch, “From Völkerpsychologie to the Sociology of Knowledge,” HOPOS 9, no. 2 (2019): 250–74.We express our gratitude to the advisory editors, Christian Damböck, Uljana Feest, and Martin Kusch, and to the authors, for their sterling contributions to this special issue of HOPOS. Our deep appreciation is owed to the University of Chicago Press, especially to Andrew Seagram, Colin Harris, and Rose Rittenhouse, for their valued collaboration and support.
