Abstract

We have the honor and pleasure of introducing this seventieth volume of the American Journal of Comparative Law. The past year brought many challenges. The pandemic may have abated; yet the worldwide disruptions of the supply chains kept affecting our publisher’s production process, leading to regrettably long delays. As Editors, we wish to thank our readers and authors for their patience and understanding; we are committed to do whatever we can on our end to fight and make more bearable the effects these delays have for readers and authors. We are, in the light of these circumstances, particularly proud to introduce a volume that will not only comprise the usual four issues but also a supplement issue dedicated to publishing the U.S. Reports to the Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law in Asunción, Paraguay. Having the privilege of choosing from myriad high-quality submissions from all over the world, we have, as in the previous years of our tenure, focused on curating a diverse and inclusive array of authors, and we are particularly excited about the wide spectrum of modern comparative scholarship we are able to present to our readership, despite troubled times.
